Valuable painting, returns to Wawel. After 70 years

"Rural girl in a yellow scarf" by Leon Wyczółkowski has returned to Wawel Royal Castle.
The work, painted in 1900, was lost during World War II. The painting was found when it was put up for sale in one of Warsaw's auction houses a year ago. The work was recovered with the help of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
"Rural girl in a yellow scarf" will be introduced to the public at a special screening this spring, along with 11 other paintings.
