Auschwitz-Birkenau Death Camp guided tour

Explore the former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in Oświęcim – one of Europe’s most important historical sites. This place, inscribed in the UNESCO’S list, is a memorial dedicated to over 1,500,000 victims murdered by the Nazis during World War II and a symbol of the Holocaust – one of the greatest crimes against humanity in the world history. Birkenau is located in Oświęcim and currently serves as the Auschwitz-Birkenau National Museum with an area of 191 hectares, of which 20 hectares constitute Auschwitz I while 171 hectares are Auschwitz II. What you need to know:

  • In accordance with the requirements of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, all tour participants are required to provide their full name and contact information as part of their ticket reservation. Refusal to allow access the museum is possible if the name provided for the reservation is not the same as the name on the presented ID card.
  • It is important to remember not to bring large bags or backpacks to the museum (the maximum allowed size is 20 x 30 cm)
  • We recommend that you bring lunch and beverages on the tour, but their consumption allowed only during breaks, in places designated for that purpose.
  • The tour is not recommended for people under 11 years of age.
