Krakow Airport Hits Historical Highs
Krakow Airport, officially known as Kraków Airport, continues its upward trend in the number of passengers served, achieving record-breaking numbers in July 2023. This growth not only shows the increasing popularity of the region as a travel destination but also reflects the airport's efforts to enhance its appeal to passengers.
Impressive Passenger Numbers
In July 2023, Krakow Airport served 918,899 passengers. This represents an increase of 17% compared to the same period in 2019 and 23% more than in July 2022. The airport has closed the mid-year vacation period with a total of 5,290,279 passengers served. "This is the best result in the history of Krakow Airport, both on an annual and a monthly scale," says Radosław Włoszek, President of Krakow Airport.
Enhancing Airport Appeal
The airport is not only handling record numbers of passengers but is also investing in amenities for them. The company is expanding the range of shops and restaurants to make it easier for passengers to spend time at the airport. As of July, passengers can shop at the newly opened Victoria’s Secret store, taste the cuisine of the new Sky Lounge restaurant, and enjoy ice cream at the newly opened Good Lood spot.
Safety First
Włoszek also emphasizes that passenger safety is crucial for the airport. The company is doing everything possible to ensure comfort and safety on the airport premises, while also urging passengers to check the situation at their destination and stay vigilant. The airport manager wishes everyone a peaceful rest and invites visitors to explore Krakow and Malopolska.
In summary, Krakow Airport continues on its path to success, serving record numbers of passengers and investing in services and amenities that make it an even more attractive hub for travelers.
