We recommend wearing comfortable shoes, dressing appropriately for the weather, and bringing a warmer layer for the salt mine, where the temperature is around 14–16°C year-round. Bringing your own lunch is also advised.

A long day but worth every minute. The Auschwitz tour was intense, and I’m glad we had a guide who handled the topic with such care. Wieliczka was stunning—a nice contrast.
