Start of Construction Works on the Former Plaszow Camp Site
The KL Plaszow Museum announces the initiation of construction works on the site of the former Plaszow camp, commencing at the turn of July and August. The operations will be carried out in stages and will last until the end of the year.
Addressing Possible Road Closures
In case of road or path closures, alternative routes will be indicated to ensure freedom of movement. The KL Plaszow Museum will continuously inform about significant stages of construction works.
First Phase of KL Plaszow Museum Construction
"The development of the land after the former concentration camp Plaszow is the first phase of the construction of the KL Plaszow Museum. The contract for the land development includes the construction of roads and paths, marking the course of the boundaries of the preserved area after the former camp and the course of the boundaries of two cemeteries, marking field points and historical stops, making information boards and regulations, making structures for models for people with vision impairment, creating small architecture, and creating exhibition windows in the area," the city enumerates in the statement.
The construction works are being conducted by RE-Bau company. The contract was signed on June 2. The investment is co-financed by the city and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
The completion of the KL Plaszow Museum construction is planned for the end of 2025.
