Dragon Parade 2025 in Krakow – Dates, Programme and Spectacle!

On the weekend of 7–8 June 2025, Krakow will once again turn into the magical city of dragons! The Groteska Theatre invites everyone to the 24th Great Dragon Parade – one of Poland’s most spectacular outdoor events. Colourful processions, an epic night-time show on the Vistula River, and plenty of family fun await!

🎥 Here’s what it looked like last year:

📅 When and where?

Saturday, 7 June:

  • 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM – Family Dragon Picnic at the Vistula Boulevards near Wawel
  • 9:45 PM – 11:00 PM – Grand Night Show on the Vistula River (Czerwieński and Poleski Boulevards)

Sunday, 8 June:

  • 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM – Family Dragon Picnic at the Vistula Boulevards
  • 12:00 PM – Great Dragon Parade (Grodzka Street to Main Market Square)

🎭 What to expect?

The Grand Night Show on the Vistula features giant flying dragons, light and laser effects, water screens and music. This year’s edition will include even more spectacular visuals, live electronic music, and enhanced stage design.

The Dragon Parade itself is a vibrant procession of more than 30 dragon puppets designed by children from across Poland. The dragons march from Planty via Grodzka Street to the Main Market Square, where a contest for the Most Beautiful Dragon takes place.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Dragon Picnic

Held throughout the weekend on the Vistula Boulevards, the Family Dragon Picnic includes activity zones, workshops, games, entertainment for children, and delicious street food.

ℹ️ Practical information

All events are free of charge. Organisers recommend arriving early, especially for the night show. Expect traffic disruptions and changes to public transport in the city centre. Public transport is the best way to get to the event area near Wawel and the Planty park ring.
