Easter Markets in Krakow 2025 – Dates Announced!

The annual Easter Market in Krakow will take place from April 10 to April 21, 2025, on the Main Market Square. This festive event is a perfect opportunity to experience Polish Easter traditions and purchase unique holiday decorations and delicacies.

What Can You Find at Krakow Easter Market

The market stalls will feature a wide selection of Easter-themed products, including:

  • Easter decorations – wreaths, baskets, palms, candles, and hand-painted eggs
  • Handcrafted goods – painted porcelain, jewelry, holiday tablecloths, traditional highlander shoes, and woven crafts
  • Traditional treats – oscypek cheese, sweets, and artisan bread
  • Folk crafts – salt dough figures, wooden carvings, and straw decorations

Visitors can also enjoy traditional Polish cuisine, including pierogi and the famous Galician Mulled Wine. In the days leading up to Easter, organizers ensure that at least one traditional Easter dish is included in the food stalls' offerings.

The market will also host various cultural events, such as:

  • A showcase of Easter palms and traditions
  • Displays of traditional regional Easter tables
  • The blessing of Easter baskets

Emaus Fair – Easter Monday at Błonia Park

On April 21, 2025, the Emaus Fair will take place at Błonia Park, along the pedestrian and bicycle path by Aleja 3 Maja. Due to ongoing renovations on Senatorska Street, this location will be used until 2026, after which Emaus will return to its historic site near the Norbertine Monastery in Zwierzyniec.

This centuries-old Easter fair will feature over 100 vendors from across Poland, offering:

  • Handcrafted souvenirs and folk art
  • Regional delicacies and organic products
  • Traditional Easter fair toys

Emaus is one of Krakow’s oldest and most cherished Easter traditions, alongside Rękawka (held on the Tuesday after Easter) and the custom of visiting the Holy Sepulchre. It is a vital part of the city's cultural heritage and local identity.
