Krakow Christmas Market 2024 – Discover the Program and Festive Attractions!

The magic of Christmas has returned to Krakow’s Main Market Square! From November 29, 2024, to January 1, 2025, the heart of the city will be filled with the aromas of holiday delicacies, the glow of festive illuminations, and the atmosphere of traditional Polish Christmas. The Krakow Christmas Market is not just an opportunity to find unique gifts or taste regional treats – it also offers a rich cultural program with concerts, artistic performances, and events for the whole family.

• November 30 (Saturday)
  • 9:00 AM – Writing letters to Santa Claus.
  • 12:00 PM – Official opening of the Christmas Market.
  • 6:00 PM – Andrew’s Eve concert by Justyna Baran Band.
• December 5 (Thursday)
  • 10:00 AM – 82nd Krakow Nativity Scene Contest.
  • 6:15 PM – Performance by "Iglika" – Balkan dances and songs.
• December 6 (Friday)
  • 5:00 PM – Concert by Dirty Horns.
  • 5:30 PM – Christmas tree illumination ceremony.
• December 21 (Saturday)
  • 11:30 AM – Christmas carol parade from the Barbican to the Main Market Square.

• Christmas Market on Wolnica Square (December 2–15):
  A celebration of tradition and artistry, featuring local handicrafts, cultural performances, and workshops. Highlights include performances by folk ensembles such as "Małe Słowianki" and Kapela Zbierana.
• Christmas Market of Unique Things at Podgórze Market Square (November 30 – December 1):
  Over 80 stalls showcasing the creations of local artists, craftspeople, and artisans. The market also features workshops, live performances, and the enchanting over-100-year-old Victorian carousel, a favorite for visitors of all ages. Santa Claus will also make an appearance, and don’t miss the operetta concert by Franciszek Makuch, Krakow’s operetta king.
