MotoSantas in Krakow: Joyful Tradition with a Noble Cause

Iconic Two-Wheeled Event

Another edition of the excellent event – MotoSantas in Krakow – is upon us. On Sunday, December 3rd, a cavalcade of several hundred Santas on motorcycles will ride through the streets of the city, starting from the EXPO Kraków Trade and Congress Center. Their mission is to deliver gifts to the youngest patients of the University Children's Hospital in Prokocim, which represents a beautiful gesture of selfless help and highlights the participants' passion for motorcycles.

18 Years of History and Joy

The history of MotoSantas dates back 18 years when a group of friends from a motorcycle crew decided to "air out the machines" before the holidays. Dressed in Santa and Snow Maiden costumes, they decorated their motorcycles and hit the streets of Krakow, handing out sweets to passersby. Over the years, this brief motorcycle meeting has evolved into an event that has become a permanent fixture in the calendar of motorcyclists and city residents.

Collaboration with the University Children's Hospital

Four years ago, MotoSantas began collaborating with the University Children's Hospital in Prokocim, Krakow. Every year they visit the young patients, trying to make their treatment time more pleasant and bring smiles. In addition to handing out presents, the Santas rappel down the hospital windows, appear on fire trucks, and even sneak into some departments. Last year, thanks to the involvement of many people, they were able to support the hospital with small medical equipment.

Route Details and Conclusion

The MotoSantas parade will start at 10:30 in the EXPO parking lot (ul. Galicyjska 9), and 15 minutes later they will set off on a route that includes streets: Centralna, Nowohucka, al. Pokoju, Czyżyńskie Roundabout, al. Jana Pawła II, ul. Mogilska, Mogilskie Roundabout, ul. Lubomirskiego, Tunnel under Galeria Krakowska, al. J. Słowackiego, al. A. Mickiewicza, ul. M. Konopnickiej, Mateczny Roundabout, ul. Kamieńskiego, ul. Wielicka, ul. Kostaneckiego, ul. Jakubowskiego, reaching the University Children's Hospital. The event will conclude with a MotoSanta BBQ with surprises at ul. Kamieńskiego 53 at 13:00.

Fundraiser for the Hospital

During the event, a collection will be held in cans, and the funds raised will be allocated to purchase equipment supporting treatment at the University Children's Hospital in Krakow. This is a great opportunity for everyone to support this noble cause. Furthermore, the organizers, together with EXPO Kraków and the Board Game Fairs BookGame, have decided to enrich the event with a collection of board games and puzzles that will bring smiles to the children's faces. Each of us can contribute to this beautiful initiative by bringing gifts for children of all ages to the EXPO Kraków Hall.
