"Great Takeoff" - 22nd Edition of the Spectacular Dragon Parade in Krakow
The first weekend of June (3-4.06) brings us the 22nd edition of the Great Dragon Parade in Krakow, organized by the Groteska Theater. This event, under the slogan "Great Takeoff", is one of the key points on Krakow's cultural map, attracting not only local residents but also dragon enthusiasts from around the globe
Throughout the weekend, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a multitude of attractions. The Dragon Family Picnic will take place on the boulevards near Dragon's Den, where exciting dragon games, fun, contests, and attractions prepared by picnic partners will be waiting for you. On Saturday, June 3rd, at 22:00, the amazing Great Outdoor Spectacle on the Vistula River will begin. There will be pyrotechnic effects, light and laser shows, gigantic water curtains, and beautiful music. The main attraction will be flying dragons, brought to life by the actors of the Groteska Theater. On Sunday, June 4th, at 12:00, the traditional Great Dragon Parade will begin. Over 30 dragons will march down Grodzka Street to the Main Market Square, and some of them will fight on stage for the title of the Most Beautiful Dragon.
The Great Dragon Parade, organized since 2000, is the work of the director of the Groteska Theater, Adolf Weltschek.
