Soon, the rhythm of fashion and design will echo through the streets of Kazimierz, a historic district in Krakow. The reason? The Kazimierz Fair, known as Kiermash, is making its return on the 7th and 8th of October. This event, which has been attracting enthusiasts of unique fashion for years, is teaming up with the vintage market Kogel Mogel, promising even more inspiration for style enthusiasts.
With the arrival of autumn, it's time to make changes to your wardrobe, and Kiermash is the perfect place to find unique and responsibly-produced clothing and accessories. Importantly, many of the exhibitors are Polish brands from local workshops that emphasize ethical production with respect for the environment, in the spirit of zero waste and fair trade. Organizers Izabela Chyłek and Mateusz Kaczan emphasize that Kiermash promotes a sustainable approach to fashion and design, encouraging responsible shopping. This is a place where fashion meets ethics and ecology.
This year's edition of Kiermash has something special in store. In addition to modern fashion designs, the event is teaming up with the vintage market Kogel Mogel. It's a great opportunity to discover unique pieces from the past that still captivate with their style and quality.
However, Kiermash is not just about fashion. During the fair, you can enjoy aromatic coffee from "Funky Donkey Cafe," savor vegan treats from "Roślinny," and indulge in cheesecakes from "Czekoladowe Love." But that's not all. The October edition of Kiermash will take place in a unique location - the Old Tram Depot, which is listed as a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage site as a historical monument. This building is a rare example of wooden skeletal architecture with brick infill in Krakow, featuring a distinctive secession-style clock on the front.
Kiermash is also a charitable event. During the autumn Kiermash, a collection will be held to support the "KTOZ - Krakow Society for Animal Care" shelter. It's an opportunity to help animals in need of support and love.
