Middle Ages to be Loved: Fascinating Event at the Krakow Museum This Weekend

This weekend promises to be unforgettable for history enthusiasts, as the Krakow Museum invites you to another meeting as part of the organized cycle "Middle Ages to be Loved!". This time, a journey back in time will take place in Barbican, where an event presenting the early Middle Ages period titled "From the oldest chronicles of Krakow" will be held.

On this day, residents and visitors to Krakow will have a chance to learn about traditional crafts such as horn making, candle making (presented for the first time), wood carving, and herbalism. These crafts were practiced by the residents of service villages located at the foot of Wawel Hill.

The Krakow Museum has also prepared a variety of attractions for the youngest. Children will be able to try their hand at sewing rag dolls, take part in a fencing school, and go through an obstacle course. Additionally, there will be shows of fights and early medieval weaponry, as well as an interactive performance for the youngest thematically related to the legends of Krakow.

The event will start at 10:00 and last until 18:00. Detailed program is available on the Krakow Museum's Facebook page.

One of the guests of this event will be the Horodna Castle Team and the Knights' Brotherhood "Bagienny's Entourage from Wieżyca", who will weave stories from the "oldest chronicles of Krakow". The event program includes interactive presentations of crafts such as herbalism, weaving, wood carving, candle making, and a presentation of siege machines.

There will also be an opportunity to get acquainted with the true history of the Wawel Dragon, as well as to participate in games and dexterity games. For those who have always dreamed of being a knight, the Krakow Museum organizes knightly fight shows and a siege machines operation course.

But that's not the end of the attractions! On the upcoming Sunday, July 9, at 10:00, R'lyeh Cafe together with the Krakow Museum invites you to Celestat at Lubicz Street 16 for a presentation and learning the game Catan!

Catan is a board game where we become medieval settlers to use available resources to establish settlements, build roads, and colonize the largest possible area. The game is perfect for starting an adventure with board games (age 10+). Please note! There are limits and entries for Sunday meetings (20-30 people).

Tickets for events are available at various prices, ranging from 12 PLN for a discounted ticket, to 32 PLN for a family ticket. Reservations can be made at the Visitor Service Center at Main Market Square 35 or electronically at [email protected].

Book your ticket today and join this historical adventure organized by the Krakow Museum. Middle Ages really can be loved!
